Studios Architecture, a San Francisco-based company, was tasked with designing the new LinkedIn Middlefield Campus. The architecture of the building is meant to emphasize the company's values, including collaboration and sustainability. One of the focal points of the design is the building's central atrium, which is surrounded by balconies that overlook the space. The atrium features a skylight that allows natural light to pour in, creating a bright and inviting environment for employees. Studios Architecture also incorporated environmental sustainability into the plans for the building. The Middlefield Campus features solar panels, a rainwater harvesting system, and energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems. The design also includes an outdoor courtyard and green roof, which not only provide a relaxing space for employees but also help to reduce the heat island effect in the surrounding area.
