Paper chandeliers are a beautiful and unique way to add some personality to any room. With a few materials and some creativity, you can make your own illuminating décor that will light up your space and impress your guests.
Start by cutting your paper into small squares or rectangles. You can use one color or multiple colors, depending on the look you're going for.
Next, fold each piece of paper in half, then in half again. You should end up with a small square or rectangle that is four layers thick.
Cut slits into the folded paper, leaving about 1/2 inch at the top uncut. Be sure not to cut all the way through the paper.
Carefully unfold the paper, revealing the cut strips. Gently separate the layers of paper and fluff them up to create a 3D effect.
Using glue, attach each paper piece to a piece of string or ribbon. Leave a small gap between each piece of paper to allow for movement.
String LED lights or tea lights along the paper string. Be sure to secure them in place with glue or tape.
