Schiavello Furniture, founded by Australians and operating internationally, offers construction, furniture and property development solutions with sustainability at their core. Their global manufacturing, sales and delivery network delivers purposeful yet sustainable furniture solutions worldwide.
Schiavello furniture embraces malleability to allow modern workplaces to easily adapt and move with change into the future.
Change is inevitable, whether driven by pandemic, technology or social trends. With every shift comes new opportunities for efficiency, wellbeing and success - as well as unexpected obstacles. Because of this dynamic nature of workplace furniture design - to adapt to multiple day-to-day requirements - workplace furniture must be flexible enough to flex with daily demands and needs.
JMA Architects collaborated closely with Schiavello on this office fitout project, providing various spaces for collaboration and concentration as well as accommodating their specific spatial requirements; such as needing two person workroom with premium accessibility on a slimline footprint.
Schiavello boasts manufacturing facilities across Melbourne and a modern headquarters that allow it to design, produce and distribute in Australia. Their end-to-end supply chain allows for swift responses to changes while remaining true to its sustainability and quality control promises. Furthermore, over 90% of materials come from within Australia - making Schiavello an invaluable partner for designers, architects and forward thinking businesses.
A hybrid workplace model is key in creating an agile company. Allowing employees to choose their workspaces and schedules increases employee productivity and satisfaction levels, leading to greater productivity and job satisfaction.
An essential aspect of creating a hybrid workplace is providing all of the appropriate tools and technology - such as video conferencing services - as well as creating physical collaboration spaces onsite and virtual collaboration tools like cloud storage or file-sharing networks. Furthermore, creating a strategy for collecting employee feedback should also be prioritized.
Nura Space, Schiavello's unified working platform, helps businesses understand and optimize their workspaces for hybrid work environments. This includes workplace analytics software which enables managers to track employee movements and assess space's impact on productivity as well as office wayfinding solutions that allow employees to easily locate coworkers, desks, meeting rooms and more.
These soundproof cabins were engineered to help users focus without distraction, offering market leading acoustic performance. Their compact size can fit seamlessly into any architectural environment; no additional structural work is needed and their mobile nature allows reconfiguration or relocation as desired.
Huddle spaces provide a perfect venue for sharing ideas and collaborating with colleagues, whether that means formal meetings or simply being there as quiet areas to get work done.
Forestville Library Focus Pod can be found near its public computers and printing station, and provides an ideal space for private conversations, zoom meetings, tutoring sessions and quiet study/studying. Booking this soundproof space online using their meeting request form or visiting McKeldin Library during opening hours will secure its use up to four hours (please refer to booking policy for more information). In addition, several study carrels throughout the Library are also available for individual quiet work sessions.
Nura Space, an integrated work platform powered by IoT smart sensors and advanced technology interfaces, aims to understand, redefine and optimise workplaces. Users can intuitively manage their workspace using an employee app as well as administrator dashboards equipped with behavioral science-based data analytics.
Nura Space mobile app, part of this platform, consolidates all essential workplace features into one application to streamline workflow and increase productivity. It allows desk, room and locker booking along with visitors management, team collaboration and workplace analytics - but without becoming overly complex for its user. User experience was of the utmost importance throughout development of this application.
Schiavello furniture was developed to support different work modes by combining flexible design with advanced tech integration. For instance, Henge Whiteboard and Aire Fold Table feature flexible reconfiguration capabilities while Krossi sit-stand desk's intelligent articulator enables expansion or compression as desired.
