Black quartz countertops are an excellent option for any kitchen. Not only are they visually stunning, but also incredibly low maintenance and easy to care for.
They're durable enough for heavy kitchen use and nonporous, making them great at taking spills without staining. Plus, their antibacterial surface prevents germs from growing too rapidly.
Polished black quartz surfaces can be polished to a high gloss, which makes them great for hiding kitchen smudges and crumbs. Alternatively, you may prefer a more subdued matte finish which still effectively conceals dirt and grime.
Maintaining your quartz countertops requires regular cleaning with soap, water and a soft cloth or sponge. For heavier duty tasks, you may opt to use a glass cleaner specifically designed for quartz counters.
Avoid using abrasive tools and products on your countertop. Metal scrapers or scouring pads can scratch the finish, so opt for an e-cloth instead.
Be sure to wipe down your counters after every meal, particularly if there has been a liquid spill. Some stains such as wine, coffee and tea are permanent on quartz surfaces so it is important to take swift action in cleaning them up.
If your countertops do become stained, blending warm water and baking soda with bead will gently lift away the stain and leave your countertops with their original polished finish. However, be aware that some brands of quartz countertops are incompatible with this method; be sure to consult the manufacturer's guidelines for how best to clean your quartz surfaces.
