The shoe design process begins with a conceptual idea for your new pair of shoes. Here, you will brainstorm and collect ideas and inspiration from various sources. Utilizing this data, create several sketches to represent your design concept.
When designing a shoe, there are numerous elements to take into account such as color, materials and the shape. These factors will ultimately shape the final result.

For example, if you're designing a shoe for someone with plantar factitious syndrome, research the condition to ensure it's comfortable and doesn't cause any discomfort to the user. Additionally, do some research into how they will use your shoe and what qualities they require from it in order to feel good and function correctly.
