Meridian Veterinary Real Estate - Building Vet Hospitals With Multiple Departments

As pet ownership increases, so too do demands on veterinarians. Meridian Veterinary Real Estate specializes in building veterinarian hospitals with multiple departments for this very reason.

Stewart has become known as The Street Vet since helping a homeless man's dog. Now on a mission to assist others who cannot afford veterinary care for their animals.

Veterinary Medicine

Veterinarians are medical professionals dedicated to protecting animal health and welfare. They diagnose and treat sick or injured animals as well as educate animal owners in preventative veterinary medicine practices. Furthermore, veterinarians work to prevent transmission of animal disease to humans as well as increase human medical knowledge through research.

After earning their degree in veterinary medicine, many veterinarians opt to specialize in one area of practice such as anesthesiology, poultry medicine, radiology, internal medicine, emergency critical care, animal behavior analysis or laboratory animal medicine and surgery.

Pre-veterinary students should begin exploring potential careers early in their undergraduate academic careers. In order to optimize the chances of admission into veterinary school, pre-veterinary students are advised to complete one full year of general and organic chemistry courses as well as one advanced biochemistry class before considering applying to vet school. Emergency Care

When your pet experiences an accident or illness, seeking treatment immediately is of the utmost importance. Our emergency vet hospital is open after hours and on holidays so they can give their animal patients top quality care and treatment.

Our experienced veterinarians take great care in inspecting and diagnosing your pet thoroughly, offering treatment options and quickly diagnosing diseases and injuries with advanced medical equipment such as X-rays. Furthermore, they allow our doctors to better visualize internal structures to assess your pet's condition better and offer microchipping options with your personal details so if they ever get lost or stolen we can quickly return them home again!

When dealing with an emergency situation it's essential that you remain calm and exercise extreme caution around your pet, who could be experiencing pain and could bite or scratch you if agitated. If possible call ahead of time so the emergency vet clinic can prepare for your arrival and begin treatment as soon as you arrive.

Senior Care

As our pets age, their needs change as well. Their physical and behavioral changes could be the result of anything from arthritis to vision or hearing loss to cognitive decline.

Geriatric patients receive regular wellness exams and diagnostic testing to maintain optimal health in their golden years. We can then detect and address health issues early, before they become lasting concerns.

Senior dogs and cats frequently require medical treatment to improve their quality of life, such as lymphoma, bone cancer or skin cancer. Kidney disease is also common among elderly cats and can often be managed using medication and fluid therapy therapies.

Older pet owners may require assistance for activities such as dog walking and bathing to decrease the risk of falls and injuries. A walker or stick can be useful to maintain balance when walking their pup; also make sure that the proper collar/leash combo is worn to avoid pulling by your pooch!

Surgery

Surgery may be necessary in diagnosing and treating complex health conditions like fractures, cruciate ligament tears and tumors. These operations may be conducted using traditional or minimally invasive approaches like arthroscopy or laparoscopy.

Board certified veterinary surgeons have advanced training that helps minimize pain and recovery time for your pet. Many veterinary referral hospitals also provide rehabilitation services like water therapy or massage that will accelerate their return to full functionality more quickly.

Jay Dee grew up tagging along to his father's veterinarian clinic as he helped make patients and pets comfortable, and has an immense respect for the relationship between people and their animals. A skilled anesthesia and surgical technician with meticulous attention to detail, his love of animals is apparent with every interaction with patients he encounters; and he takes pleasure in providing informational sessions about surgery options to make clients more at ease during procedures. Jay is immensely proud to be part of Simon Veterinary Surgical.
