Millennium Park Movies

Millennium Park is a highly celebrated collection of public art and gardens situated amid Downtown skyscrapers in Chicago. This space includes some of Chicago's iconic landmarks such as Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate, and Crown Fountain - to name just a few.

Bring a blanket or chair, sit back, and watch movies on a large 40-foot LED screen at either Pavilion or Great Lawn locations - admission is completely free!

Movies in the Park

Movies in the Park is an annual series that provides both locals and visitors a relaxing way to take in some classic cinema, award-winning flicks, or family favorites on Jay Pritzker Pavilion's state-of-the-art 40-foot LED screen. Held Tuesday evenings throughout summer months with free admission, locals and visitors are welcome to come out.

Bring along a blanket or chair, pack a light picnic and prepare yourself for an unforgettable movie night in one of our city parks this year! While this year's lineup specializes in kid- and family-friendly films, hardcore movie fans won't feel left out either!

Mr. Piranha, Mr. Snake, Mr. Shark and Ms. Tarantula join forces to improve their public image and become better citizens in this entertaining family film. Please bring your pup; park fieldhouses may be closed and they must remain on leashes no longer than 6ft at all times; movie starts around sunset.

Summer Film Series

This family-friendly series will feature music and movies in Golden's Parfet Park starting at 7 p.m. Food concessions will begin serving from 7 pm until dusk, when movies begin showing. Check back here soon for 2023 lineup!

Join the Pritzker Pavilion or Great Lawn for crowd-pleasing movies shown on a state-of-the-art 40-foot LED screen every Tuesday until August 29. This series runs until then!

Upcoming Summer is an entertaining teen rom com with plenty of chemistry that brings its audience back for more. While its plot may sound cliched, this film makes the cliche work by emphasizing how there's more than meets the eye with any given person - their personality comes into play here as well!

Movies on the Lawn

Millennium Park hosts many events throughout the year, many of which are free and open to the public; others require purchasing tickets or using specific spaces (Chase Promenade South, McCormick Tribune Plaza & Ice Rink and Jay Pritzker Pavilion) of the park.

The Summer Film Series runs Tuesday evenings between July 11 and August 29 at Jay Pritzker Pavilion and shows films on a 40-foot LED screen, providing guests with seating in either pavilion or lounge chairs to spread out on Great Lawn.

This year's movies range from stage adaptations from local theater companies and some of this year's blockbusters - such as two superhero flicks and one foreign film - to kid-friendly flicks and kid-oriented features. Shows begin at dusk; various food trucks and activities will be available prior to each showing; this event can get busy!

Movies in the Pavilion

Millennium Park offers plenty of activities this summer, from concerts to workouts and even their Film Series, there's something fun happening for all to enjoy.

Take your pick between sitting at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion or spreading out on the Great Lawn to watch an evening under the stars with free movies in Millennium Park. Food and drinks are permitted so feel free to pack a picnic or buy from one of the vendors on site.

This summer's lineup of crowd-pleasing movies includes stage adaptations (The Music Man, Moonlight and 10 Things I Hate About You), superhero films and family favorites. Plus, in honor of 2022 being declared The Year of Chicago Dance you can catch films inspired by dance - making this experience a must for both Chicagoans and visitors.
