Rumi's Kitchen - Colony Square

March 21, 2024

Rumi's Kitchen - Colony Square is one of the top places in Colony Square for delicious Persian cuisine, boasting friendly staff who will make your experience enjoyable. Their menu offers exquisitely prepared dishes like perfectly fried salmon, sea bass and rack of lamb; while there is even an outdoor seating patio available so that diners can dine under the open sky!

At this restaurant, it's essential that you try their delicious grilled chicken; its flavour will leave a lasting impression. Furthermore, fish fillet served with saffron rice is another must-try dish that keeps people coming back again and again for more!

Chef/Owner Ali Mesghali's ever-expanding restaurant brand will soon open two more locations within Atlanta's perimeter, one in Buckhead and one at Houston. Mesghali's unique and flavorful approach has won him rave reviews since opening his original Rumi's along Roswell Road in 2006. Since then, Avalon in Alpharetta - owned by North American Properties - also hosts another Rumi's location that quickly expanded thanks to his charismatic leadership - was added as well.

Mesghali's latest venture can be found at 14th and Peachtree streets in Midtown, near The Grove at Colony Square. Designed by Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry, the 5,000-square-foot space features an outdoor patio measuring 1,500 square feet - this venue marks yet another addition to Colony Square's revamped landscape, following in the footsteps of Chick-fil-A's comeback and The Grove food hall opening recently.

Rumi's Kitchen in Colony Square shopping center was bustling on Saturday evening with customers, packing the parking lot with luxury cars lining the doorway and stretching all the way out the doorway. Newcomers could not squeeze past departing patrons waiting by the entrance under an art deco shell-shaped awning similar to something a starlet from 1930s talkie might huddle under during rain showers.

Booking a table may not always be straightforward, but the friendly waitstaff will do everything possible to accommodate you. Prices are fair and you will definitely get your money's worth here, plus the interior is charming and cozy - great for ordering tasty chocolate frappe, milkshakes and tea! Additionally, their bar stocks a good selection of wine, bourbon and rum as well as being well stocked with tasty watermelons salad, fruitcake and vanilla ice cream! The service here is fast and attentive while takeout/delivery options also exist here - perfect!
