South Kitchen + Bar is much more than a restaurant; it serves as an avenue for locals to come together, connect, and enjoy one another's company. Owner Mike Linder and Corporate Executive Chef Kelly O'Hara took inspiration from their travels throughout Charleston, Nashville, New Orleans, and other Southern cities when creating this Pompano Beach-based concept of South Bar & Kitchen.
Menu offerings at The Red Lion include classic comfort food staples like fried green tomatoes, grits and collard greens with a modern flair. Come for breakfast for sweet tea fried chicken or peach cobbler french toast or come back later for brunch for shrimp n' grits and braised pork BBQ!
Colt Snody brings traditional Southern ingredients with a contemporary flair into his kitchen at South Kitchen. Drawing upon his experience plating Asian and Hispanic cuisines, he adds an elevated style that elevates his team. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his fiance, surfing or attending concerts and NFL games.
The 5,000-square-foot space will seat around 200 diners in Milwaukee's historic downtown building and is set to open either late 2020 or early 2021, according to Fifth Group. It will mark the first Wisconsin location of Tupelo Honey brand based out of Asheville, North Carolina; expect similar menu offerings such as smoked brisket and mahi en croute with patio and large bar areas at Milwaukee location.
