American Fridge Freezer Width

April 7, 2023

When shopping for a refrigerator freezer or replacing an existing model, the width is an important factor to consider. Not only will the right size fit in your kitchen perfectly, but you can also select features tailored specifically towards your family's requirements.

Before making a purchase, measure the space in your kitchen where you plan to place an American fridge freezer. Take into account both the width of the space itself and any doorways or hallways it must pass through.

American fridge freezers tend to be wide and deep - at least 85cm wider than standard models - which means they take up more room in your kitchen than other models do. As such, they may not be ideal for smaller kitchens but may work great if you have a large family.

American fridge freezers come in a range of styles and finishes, from full-length double doors to French-style models with two side-by-side doors on the left and drawer or two on the right. All come with bold door handles and recessed opening details that will make them stand out in your kitchen.

Some models even feature extra storage compartments such as freezer drawers or chiller compartments to keep meat and fish fresh longer. Furthermore, some offer frost-free freezing capabilities and fast-freeze settings which reduce the time it takes to freeze fresh food.

Once you've measured the space in your kitchen, it's time to decide which features of an American fridge freezer will make the most of it. These may include a frost-free freezer which keeps delicate foods and drinks like fruit or cheese frozen until use. You could also opt for a model with fast-freeze setting which speeds up freezing fresh food while cutting back on energy usage.

A fridge is one of the most essential appliances in our homes, so it's essential to get it right. Otherwise, you could end up spending money on something that doesn't suit your family's needs. Fortunately, there are various types of fridges available so that you can find one suitable for your requirements.

Finding the ideal size fridge for your home can be a challenge. Make sure your new fridge blends in with the rest of your kitchen, not becoming an eyesore or focal point.

To calculate the space in your kitchen where you plan to fit an appliance, measure the area and add 30 cm for its depth and any doorways or hallways it must pass through. Additionally, take into account the height of the appliance.
